It's time to heal
“I don't know how you could have raised me for so many years... seen all the damage that was done to me, and pretend there's nothing wrong...with what you just said”, told. Woman answered, Don't worry and she handed her a small hand mirror. “I know, you can't love someone, 'till you learn to love yourself first. You are made in image and likeness of your Lord. He never abandons his sons”, the woman added. Then the girl understood...that her mom's true injuries lay in an even darker place.

Once Upon an Easter Sunday
Once upon an Easter Sunday,
Once years ago when I was so much younger,
The tradition back then in the 1960’s
You got a new outfit for Easter Sunday
So when you went to church,
Everyone was wearing their brand new outfit,
Woman wore hats and gloves as well,
A lady was a lady,
A gentleman was a gentleman,
I remember so well when Uncle Dominic used to take my sister and I
To the small shop on the Derby-Shelton bridge
And he’d buy each of us an Easter basket
With lots of candy, a chocolate bunny and
A play telephone,
I remember it so well,
We all had Easter dinner together,
My Mom and Dad, my sister and me, my grandparents and my Uncle Dominic, We’d have so many goodies
The ham, the lasagna, potatoes, salad, a vegetable,
Dessert was coffee, pie and my grandmother’s Italian wand cookies,
All those wonderful memories,
They are in my heart and mind,
Once upon an Easter Sunday.

Love Poem
How can love become a reality
When my heart beats just for you
I pray to god in heaven
That you’re feeling this way too
Laying here beside you
As you gently fall asleep
Listening to you breathing
Makes me feel complete
True love’s an inspiration
That knows what we’re living for
Counting every heartbeat
As I dream of you once more
Perhaps love’s a melody
A rhythm in our souls
An everlasting symphony
One that our heart controls
